How significant is the day you were born? They say the chances of you existing is 1 in 400 quadrillion! That is a miracle. How often do we thank Allah for our existence?.
The day that we are born comes around every year. Many people like to celebrate this day. But what are they celebrating? The day you are born is a good day to reflect on the past and the future. Reflect on what you have achieved in the last year and what are you going to achieve in the next year. How closer are you to Jannah than you were last year? It’s a good time to remember all the people you have lost in the past year and all the children that have been blessed in to this world. Ponder over how many lives you affected over the last year were they good or bad?
The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The feet of a servant will not touch the ground until he asked about his life and how he spent it; his knowledge and how he acted upon it; his wealth and how he acquired it and spent it and his body and how it was used.” [Tirmidhi]
Spend your years wisely as you will be asked about them and this one may be your last.
