When the last complete Surah of the Qur’an (Surah an-Nasr) was revealed to the Prophet – SallAllahu alayhi wa sallam, there was a clear command to:
Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him.
On the authority of Aisha(Ra), the Prophet(SAW) increased in reciting the following dua in response to this command, during his(SAW) rukoo (bowing) and sujood (prostration):
“How perfect You are O Allah, our Lord and I praise You. O Allah, forgive me.”
